Belk Department Stores across 16 states are hosting a spring charity sale on Saturday, April 21. The sale will run in all of Belk's 303 stores from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. The event will also serve as a fundraiser for organizations wishing to sell $5 tickets to customers.

The first 100 customers to arrive at each store will receive a Belk gift card that ranges in value from $5 to $100 and a chance to win one of three $1,000 Belk gift cards. Participating schools and charities will also be registered to win one of three $1,000 donations from Belk in a company-wide drawing.

In the past proceeds from this sale supported the American Cancer Society, regional Junior League organizations, Boy and Girl Scouts of America, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the American Red Cross, animal rescues, local school and numerous churches.

“There is no limit to the number of organizations that can participate, the number of tickets they can sell, or the amount of money they can raise – so this is a win-win for everyone. We have nonprofits who say this event is their biggest fundraiser of the year, so we hope everyone in our Belk store communities will take this opportunity to shop for what they need and give back in the process,” stated ,” Jessica Graham, Belk vice president of communications & community relations.

Tickets to the sale may be purchased from participating nonprofits as well as at the Belk stores where all revenues will be equally divided among participating organizations.
