Brian Evans promoted to Director of St. Mary's Corporate Health Services
Brian Evans, manager of St. Mary’s Wellness Center and liaison to the University of Georgia Athletic Association, has been promoted to Director of Corporate Health Services of St. Mary’s Health Care System.
Evans will continue to serve as St. Mary’s liaison to the UGAA and to manage the Wellness Center. In addition, he will take a leadership role in St. Mary’s business development initiatives, including providing employee health education programs, screenings and other services designed to help local employers keep their workforce healthy and productive, and overseeing community outreach efforts, such as health fairs.
Evans also recently received the Rising Star Award from the Medical Fitness Association. The Medical Fitness Association, a non-profit organization, was formed to assist medically integrated health and fitness centers achieve their full potential. Recipients of the Rising Star Award must be nominated and voted on by their peers. The award is given to those individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership in medical fitness.
Evans received his bachelor’s degree in education in exercise science from Georgia State University in 1998 and his master’s in business administration from Piedmont College in 2011. He has 15 years of experience in cardiac rehab and medical fitness, 14 of those with St. Mary’s.
