Fortson, Bentley and Griffin, P.A. Announces Three Hires
Fortson, Bentley and Griffin, P.A. has announced the addition of three associates to its law practice. Trevor T. Jones, H. Scott Lowry Jr. and Miguel A. Trujillo joined the firm this fall, adding to the firm’s expertise in real estate, corporate, finance and litigation matters.

Jones, a native of Perry, joins the practice after five years with the Baker Donelson firm in Birmingham, Ala. In 2007, he earned his J.D., graduating cum laude from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law where he was a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and a member of the editorial board of the Cumberland Law Review. He earned his undergraduate degree in English from the University of Georgia in 2003, where he graduated cum laude and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Delta Epsilon Iota. A LEED-accredited professional, Jones will focus on real estate and finance law at Fortson, Bentley & Griffin.
A member of the American Bar Association and the Alabama Bar Association, Jones lives in Athens with his wife, Krista, and their three children.
Lowry is a native of Richmond, Va. and has extensive experience in corporate, tax, real estate and capital markets law, having commenced his practice with Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP. He earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia, graduating magna cum laude in 2007. He also wrote for the Georgia Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif. As an undergraduate, he earned a B.A. with honors in History and Economics from the University of Virginia in 2004.
Lowry is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and Western Circuit Bar Association, and he lives in Athens with his wife, Kristin.
Trujillo, a native of Atlanta, will serve the firm through its litigation practice where he will handle a broad spectrum of legal areas, including general civil, criminal, probate, employment, property and family law. He graduated cum laude with a J.D. from the University of Georgia in 2012, where he was an inductee in the National Order of the Barristers and the Joseph Henry Lumpkin American Inn of Court. Trujillo also was honored as the Final Round Best Oralist in the Mercer Legal Ethics and Professionalism National Moot Court Tournament and was a finalist in the J. Melvin England Mock Trial Competition.
He graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from Augusta State University (2009), where he was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society. He lives in Athens with his wife, Aubrey, and is a member of the Federalist Society.
