DEMOREST, GA (08/02/2012)(readMedia)-- At its recent July commencement ceremony, Piedmont College in Demorest, Ga., awarded degrees to 349 students. Among the graduates were the following area residents:

• Ryan Robert Caffrey of Athens, earned a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Secondary History Education

• David Hilt of Athens, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration

• Sid Curtis Smith, Jr. of Athens, earned a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Special Education

Piedmont College is an independent liberal arts college of about 2,800 students with campuses located in Demorest and Athens, Ga. Founded in 1897, the college offers undergraduate degrees in 32 major areas and graduate degrees in education and business, including doctoral degrees in education.
