WUGA to Celebrate the 25th Anniversary with a Live Concert Broadcast, Tickets Now Available

On Aug. 26 WUGA, the public radio station operated by UGA, will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a live concert broadcast, "Once in a Blue Moon."

This special event will be held in the Mahler Hall of the UGA Hotel and Conference Center at the Georgia Center. Tickets for the show are available online at www.wuga.org and are $15 each.

The live concert will be broadcast across the state by the Georgia Public Radio network. Performances by the following six local artists will be featured: Revien, The Rose Theatre of Athens Ensemble, Brock Sheidl, The Kenney Blackmon String Band, Kyshona Armstrong and local Elvis tribute artist and WUGA host Chris Shupe. One of the radio station's founding staff members, Mary Kay Mitchell, will host the concert.
