Police also reported a burglary that occurred between April 21 and April 26, in which copper wire valued at $1,800 was stolen from a storage building on the former Armstrong and Dobbs property on Oconee Street.
A man told police at Warren and Fairview Streets that two to four young men wearing T-shirts and jeans beat and robbed him of $15, but he then became uncooperative and refused treatment by emergency medical workers. Witnesses told police it might have been a drug deal gone bad.
