Crime Blotter--driver robbed at gunpoint after stopping with a flat tire

The information in this story comes from the ACC Police Department. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.

A 31-year-old Watkinsville woman was driving in the area of Chesterton Drive near Acadia Drive when she felt that her car had a flat tire. A rear-seat passenger got out of the vehicle to check the tire. While she was stopped, two black males approached her vehicle. One opened the passenger door and entered her vehicle, pointing a pistol at her and demanding her money. The robber took the victim’s wallet, which contained cash, personal papers and credit cards. The robber with the pistol was identified as light-skinned and wearing a camo hooded jacket and blue basketball shorts. The woman was not injured during the incident.

A 25-year-old woman who lives on Freeman Drive was inside the El Paisano Club at 478 North Avenue. She was approached from behind by a female who struck her in the back of the head. The assailant then pulled a pink box-cutter from her boot and swung it at the woman, cutting her below her left eye. Security broke up the fight and the police were called. The female that attacked the woman left before the police arrived, but she and an accomplice have been tentatively identified. The victim’s injury was superficial and she did not require immediate medical attention.

A 23-year-old woman living on Epps Bridge Parkway reported that her vehicle was entered while it was parked in the Beechwood Shopping Center, 196 Alps Road. Her purse was stolen from the trunk of her vehicle. The purse contained an I-Pod Touch and her wallet.
