Dog Bites and Beer Drinkers: Just Another Day at the Grocery Store

Here are some of the stranger Northeast Georgia police stories of the week.

Nothing on TV? Head on down to a Barrow County supermarket, where there's always something interesting going on.

At the Publix in Winder, a man agreed to hold a chihuahua for another customer who said he was going in to claim a winning lottery ticket. Police were called after the man reported the chihuahua bit him on the nose and cut his upper lip.

The same day at the Winder Ingles, a man was charged with public intoxication after refusing to stop drinking his beer outside the store. He'd been sitting with another man and woman at an outdoor table.
