Employee Tries to Steal Cell Phones, Federal Express Officials Say

Management at the Federal Express office at 1665 Olympic Drive reported that an employee was caught after attempting to take four iPhone 5’s, valued at $500.00 each, from packages being processed at that facility.
The employee had two of the phones concealed on his person and had placed two others in a waste receptacle in a restroom.
Fed Ex officials told Athens Clarke County Police that they would be obtaining warrants for the arrest of the employee.
