There's still time to register for the 2013 Southern Garden Heritage Conference, focusing on heirloom fruits and vegetables and the gardening traditions of the South.

"Heirloom Gardening in the South" is designed to appeal to gardeners, landscape architects, preservationists, and plant lovers with all levels of expertise and skill. It unfolds on Friday, February 15, from 9am until 4pm at the State Botanical Garden.

Featured speakers include William C. Welch of Texas, author of Heirloom Gardening in the South, and Felder Rushing of Mississippi, author of Slow Gardening: A No-Stress Philosophy for All Senses and All Seasons.
