He Told the Police He Had Caught Satan, and the Police Caught Him

The Athens Clarke County Police arrested a man with "issues."

An Athens Clarke County Police officer was talking with Robert Anthony Leseueur about his having eaten a beef stick and drinking a soft drink in the Eastside Kroger without paying for the items. The store managers caught Leseueur as he was trying to leave the store and held him until the police arrived.

Leseueur, 36, informed the officer that "someone on the Internet" had told him to get the snacks. He told the officer that he "had caught Satan and had him in a bottle in his book bag," the officer wrote in an incident report, according to a story in the Athens Banner Herald.

Leseueur also told the officer that he was on an assignment and that he was part of Seal Team Six. Nevertheless, Leseueur was booked into the Clarke County Jail on a shoplifting charge on Sunday afternoon.

This man could be deluded, mentally ill or manipulative. Or maybe all three.

And mental illness is nothing to laugh at.

Sherryl, I inadvertently deleted your last comment, sorry. According to the ABH story, the guy has a prior record that doesn't include capturing Satan.
