Rabbit Box = Silver Box, Stories From Our Elders

Come hear some of Athens' seniors tell stories.

Every month, Rabbit Box brings together a group of storytellers. They meet at the Melting Point on a Wednesday at 7pm and tell their stories, each one lasting no more than 8 minutes, each session built around a theme. The audience is as eclectic as the storytellers, but perhaps more appreciative.

This month's theme is "Living History," and it brings together older Athenians to tell stories about our community's past and their pasts. Taking the stage on May 8 will be Ernie de Pascale, Joyce Downing, John English, Millard Grimes, Sandra Huszagh, A.R. Killian, Mary Thrasher, Wanda White and Homer Wilson. The topics include the importance of rabbit boxes; the day Martin Luther King, Jr., was buried; and a World Record-setting event on the UGA campus.
