Suspect from Attempted Rape Spotted at Botanical Garden in Athens, Ga.

UGA Police Chief Jimmy Williamson says such behavior is typical.

There was a delay in communication on Wednesday that prevented the University of Georgie Police from reaching the State Botanical Garden in time. Someone had seen a man whom they believed was the suspect in the recent attempted rape at the Botanical Garden, according to a story in the Athens Banner Herald.

UGA Police Chief Jimmy Williamson advises everyone to remain cautious and vigilant while they're going about their business at the State Botanical Garden.

The story says the suspect can be described as a white male, roughly 6 feet tall and 150 pounds, with short blonde hair, crooked teeth and two small moles on the lower left side of his face. The potential victim said he wore blue sweatpants, a green and white hooded sweatshirt, white running shoes and black sunglasses.
