Woman Shoplifts Female Pads from Bell's Food Stores
The information in this story comes from the ACC Police Department. An arrest doesn't mean a conviction.
Store employees called police after one worker noticed a woman sticking a bag of pads into her purse at about 3 p.m. When the woman saw the officer in the store, she and her mother left the checkout line and began heading back into the main part of the building.
Police approached Evie Knox, 26, and told her she had been accused of shoplifting. The woman pulled the bag of pads out of her purse and said she was going to pay for them.
Knox was barred from the store for two years. The store owner also said she would be prosecuted for shoplifting. Knox was transported to Clarke County Jail.
