Moriko is the AAHS Adoptable Cat of the Week!

Moriko means “forest child” in Japanese, and this forest child was impounded as a stray with her two kittens who have since been adopted. She loves to hide under her blankets, but don't let that fool you--she is by no means shy! She is fairly outgoing and enjoys being held and interacting with people. Moriko would be a relaxing and loving companion! She is 2-3 years old.

Moriko's Feline-ality is Personal Assistant: You're working on the computer? Let me press the keys. Reading the paper? I'll hold the pages down for you. Watching TV? I'll just plop in your lap so you can pet me. I love an orderly household, don't you? I'll help you with all your chores, and I'll help you relax when we're done. You'll wonder how you ever managed without me.

For more information about Moriko, please call 706-850-8777 or email adopt@athenshumanesociety.org.

Moriko was adopted yesterday--yay! There are still lots of other great cats at the Adoption Center looking for forever homes, too!

Happy day!

Well, the bunnies, at least are happy. The cats, well... Judging from their piteous howls, you'd think they've never been fed, EVER, so I'd better go take care of that. =D
