DESCRIPTION:2013 marks the 23rd &nbsp\;year that The State Botanical Gard
 en of Georgia has co-sponsored this contest with the Nongame Conservatio
 n Section of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. The contest pr
 ovides an excellent means for teachers to introduce some of Georgia&rsqu
 o\;s endangered plants and animals and reasons for their population decl
 ine\, to their students. Any student in grades K-5 enrolled in a public\
 , private or home school is eligible to participate.\nArtwork must portr
 ay Georgia nongame (not legally hunted\, trapped or fished) wildlife and
  plants. The entries are judged at the local school level in four divisi
 ons (#1 - Kindergarten\, #2 - first &amp\; second grades\, #3 - third an
 d fourth grades\, #4 - fifth grade).&nbsp\; Winning entries in local con
 tests are then to be mailed to the Botanical Garden for entry in the sta
 te level competition. Entries must be received by Friday\, March 27\, 20
 13 for inclusion in the state level judging. The top first\, second and 
 third place statewide winners will be featured in a 2011-2012 school-yea
