DESCRIPTION:Are you a new or expectant mom or have you recently moved to 
 the Athens area? Are you looking for a great group to socialize with?  C
 ome and meet other moms experiencing similar joys and challenges! The At
 hens Mothers' Center (AMC) is a great way for you and your children to m
 ake new friends and develop a local support network!&nbsp\;\nAMC is a no
 n-profit organization founded in 1981 and is part of the National Associ
 ation of Mothers' Centers. We believe that each mother needs to know tha
 t she is not alone. She has friends who care about the job she is doing 
 and how she is feeling.  We offer discussion and activity groups\, paren
 ting education\, social events (including a Dad's night out!)\, and info
 rmation about community resources.\nAMC meets Tuesdays &amp\; Fridays fr
 om 9:30-11:30am at St. Gregory's Espicopal Church\; however\, we are a n
 on-denominational\, non-political group. Dads are welcome on Friday's!\n
 Open enrollment is welcome anytime\, year-round\, so join us when you ca
 n or just drop by for a tour to see what we&rsquo\;re all about. Tours a
 re available anytime during AMC hours. Just ask to speak with a coordina
 tor.
