DESCRIPTION:This is a foundation course for students to develop skills in
  seeing and interpreting shape and form. Students will learn through pra
 ctice\, repetition of basic principles\, experimentation\, demonstration
 \, keeping a sketchbook\, and interaction with studio peers. A strong em
 phasis is placed on learning a visual language as it relates to line\, c
 omposition\, value\, color theory\, and basic perspective. After complet
 ion of their drawings\, each student will transfer their drawing onto on
 e 11"x 14" canvas and paint. The finished paintings may be taken home on
 ce dry.
