GoodBIZ offers FREE TRAINING, support to new and prospective business owners in Athens
Enrollment is now underway for the next series of classes in Athens’ GoodBIZ program, which provides training and resources to individuals looking to start or expand small businesses.
Classes during the sessions will cover topics ranging from determining business feasibility and developing a business plan to marketing products/services and creating business networks. Once enrolled in the program, participants meet with personal advisors, work with mentors and hear from experts in everything from taxes to social media marketing. They also have access to computers and Microsoft products. Classes are held at the Athens Goodwill Career Center, 10 Huntington Drive, in the Perimeter Square shopping center. More About Goodwill Career & Employee Training
This Goodwill Career & Employee Training facility is one of seven Goodwill Career Centers across North Georgia. It is located in the same space as the Goodwill store and just around the corner from the donation center in Athens. Open to the public, the center is staffed by professionals who offer classes, training events and other resources to assist job seekers and small business owners. Computers with internet access are available, as are fax machines, copy machines and telephones.
