Based on the 1967 film of the same name\, Thoroughly Mo dern Millie took Broadway by storm in 2002\, winning six Tony Awards\, i ncluding Best Musical.\nPlaying Millie Dillmount is OYP veteran Rachel W olfe\, a junior at Oconee County \;High School. \; Simon Beckham \, a freshman at North Oconee\, plays Jimmy\, who complicates Millie&rsq uo\;s plans to marry for money\, not love.\n&ldquo\;This is one of my fa vorite shows of all-time\,&rdquo\; says Wolfe\, who has performed in mor e than 15 OYP productions. &ldquo\;It&rsquo\;s got such a great score an d such great energy. I&rsquo\;m blessed to be part of such a strong all- around cast.&rdquo\;\nThe cast of 30 is comprised mainly of high school students from OCHS\, North Oconee and Athens Academy. Athens Academy sen ior Rachel Bonet plays the sinister villain Mrs. Meers\, who runs a boar ding house for young women.
