There’s an unwritten 11th Commandment: Thou shalt grow food if thou possesseth any bit of the earth from whence thou came.
In other words, you need to grow a little food along with your grass and bushes. And there’s still time to prepare a fall vegetable garden if, like me, you haven’t already done so.
Make sure the ground is at its best, with compost and fertilizer mixed into the soil. Just sprinkle the seeds and cover them with dirt. As they grow, you’ll have to thin them, but that’s no big deal. Here are some vegetables you can grow from seed:
