Art Work Due for 39th Juried Exhibition at Lyndon House Arts Center


Late this month, Lyndon House Art Center will receive art work for consideration for the upcoming 39th Juried Exhibition. This professionally oriented competition will be judged by Gilbert Vicario, Senior Curator at Des Moines Art Center, previously at Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston and Philadelphia Museum of Art.  

The competition is open to Athens area artists 18 years and older working in visual media. Cash prizes will be awarded. A non-refundable entry fee of $25 is due with submission of up to 3 works per artist. Art work entries are due at Lyndon House Arts Center, 293 Hoyt Street on Thursday, January 30 from 12:30 – 8:30 p.m. and Friday, January 31 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Entry forms are to be completed by artists at time of entry and will be available on those days. No submissions after 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31. 

The public is invited to the opening reception of the 39th Juried Exhibition scheduled for Sunday, March 9 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Lyndon House Arts Center. The exhibition will continue through May 3 during regular gallery hours.
