Georgia United Credit Union Awards $2,500 to UGA Student in Annual Scholarship Drawing

Athens, GA (September 16, 2013) Georgia United Credit Union is excited to announce Angelina Faria of Duluth, GA, as the winner of $2,500 in its annual University of Georgia Scholarship drawing. Hundreds of currently enrolled UGA students entered the drawing, which was held on September 1.  Entries were collected throughout the summer at Georgia United Credit Union’s two Athens branch locations. 

Angelina Faria, a sophomore Education major, was selected at random from all submitted entries.  Georgia United Credit Union is the community credit union serving the faculty, staff, students and alumni of the University of Georgia.  This is the seventh year that Georgia United has offered a scholarship drawing as part of “back to school” activities at UGA.
