Georgia United Credit Union Donates School Supplies to Athens Title I Schools

ATHENS, Ga. (August 13, 2013) Thanks to the generosity of Georgia United Credit Union’s members in Athens, 950 school supplies were donated to Gaines Elementary and Alps Road Elementary this morning. This donation was part of the credit union's second School Supply Drive with Star 94 Radio to benefit local Title 1 schools in communities surrounding 16 Georgia United branch locations statewide. A grand total of 8,251 items was collected from all branches; Georgia United’s Gaines School Road Branch donated 535 items to Gaines Elementary and the UGA Branch donated 415 items to Alps Road Elementary.
