Grand Opening: BMA AT HOME, Interiors, Art and Consignment in Five Points

Locally-owned business, BMA DESIGNS, Interior Design and LEED Consulting, is expanding its brand with the Grand Opening of BMA AT HOME, Interiors, Art and Consignment in Five Points. Both brands will be under the umbrella of BMA. The official Grand Opening will take place on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at 1662 South Lumpkin Street in Five Points. The event will showcase artwork by local artist, Stan Mullins, and offer wine/beer and hors d’oeuvres.

BMA AT HOME will feature high-quality consignment furniture, pieces that are curated by the owner, and a USA-made upholstery line by Century Furniture. BMA AT HOME will carry time period pieces from Federal, Art Nouveau, to Scandinavian Contemporary. No time period will be ignored.  The store will also showcase new case goods, soft goods and accessories of high-quality and defining style. Owner, Breckyn Alexander’s wealth of experience in the commercial and residential interior design arena has polished her knowledge and appreciation for many different types of design.

The focus of BMA AT HOME will not be curating particular time period pieces but highlighting distinctive, well-constructed, quality pieces that can be enjoyed for years to come. BMA AT HOME will incorporate the ideals that are integral to BMA DESIGNS, which is sustainability.  “A positive way to conserve environmental resources is to feature interior products of impeccable construction and quality for the consumer’s purchase. Nothing is more wasteful than disposable furniture,” said Mrs. Alexander.
