4th Annual Race for Chase and Treefrog Trot

Dodging the threat of rain, this annual fundraiser was a success!

Yesterday's rain held off for Chase Street Elementary's Fourth Annual 5k Race for Chase and 1 mile Treefrog Trot. This neighborhood event was the perfect way to view the beautiful dogwoods lining Boulevard. Many Chase Street Elementary students participated in the fun run.

Red-faced children grabbed medals as they crossed the finish line. The 5k race course had the perfect number of hills, running from Dubose Avenue, down Grady Avenue and then all the way up Boulevard and back. Friends and neighbors yelled encouragement as the runners, walkers and baby strollers completed the 5k race.

After the race, the Historic Boulevard Neighborhood Association provided refreshments for participants. Virginia Ball, a massage therapist with Athens Sport Massage, provided complimentary massages for recovering atheletes.
