Athens is a "Dreamy" Town for Vegans
Athens makes yet another list. Commenters were upset that Portland and Austin did not.
Along with Asheville and Ashland, Athens makes the list of "12 Dreamy Towns for Vegan Living."
The list is compiled by VegNews, which writes about all things vegan.
Also on the list are Boulder, Ithaca, Lawrence, Northhampton and Santa Cruz, all of which are, as is Athens, college towns.
In Athens, Broad Street Coffee and Restaurant bills itself as a vegan establishment. Beth's Bakery is vegan and nut free. Of Athens, the publication says:
You can live a compassionate, healthy, and environmentally sound lifestyle in gorgeous Athens, soaking in the music and steeping in the green scene.
