We have a fun-filled weekend ahead of us.

1. Gov. Nathan Deal signed a bill that will allow counties in Georgia to vote on whether or not to legalize Sunday alcohol sales. Georgia is one of three states in the US that does not allow alcohol sales on Sunday. Looks like we are moving on…

 2. The is hosting the last of the season, today at 4:45pm.

3. Did you know, bee keeping is one of the oldest forms of food production and dates back to 1300 BC? Today is the registration deadline for the 20th Annual Bee Keeping Institute at Young Harris College.

4. The Athens Twilight Criterium is more than just a professional bike race. It is a community event in which every citizen of Athens may participate. Friday night, located at the Washington St and College Ave intersection downtown. Madeline, one of Athens’ most beloved singer/songwriters, will go on at 6pm. The Good Doctor, a funk band from Auburn, AL, will play at 7:30pm. Then, at 9:15pm, FLT RSK, an electronica-dance-rhythmic-instrumental-fun band, will play.

5. Also happening this weekend is the . Friday night, at , you may enjoy music by Athens’ bands Burning Angels, Redneck GReece, Justin Evans, The Lanes, Matt Hudgins and His Sh*t Hot Country Band, and Bearfoot Hookers. The full schedule may be seen here.
