From 8am to 7pm, folks from the Fresh Market will be interviewing candidates for jobs at the company's soon-to-be-open grocery in Beechwood. With all the hoopla over UGA's new health campus on Prince Avenue, it's easy to forget there are other schools who've been doing their homework, getting A's on all the tests and eating their vegetables. Got ideas for where to plant trees? The Community Tree Council (CTC) has received a $2,500 donation from Urban Forestry Organization Inc. to install large shade trees in Athens. Other donations have allowed the planting of trees at Athens First UMC, Sandy Creek Park, and Coile Middle School, among other things. If you want to propose places that you believe would be improved with large tree plantings, send your ideas to the council's website.

The Friends of Legion Pool remind you there's still time to a. Through September 16, UGA is accepting public comment on the proposed demolition of Legion Pool. You can request a public hearing via email to J. Dorsey at the university, putting "Legion Pool" in the subject line.
