Athens Today--December 7

The U.S. entered WWII today, 70 years ago. Thank a veteran.

 

The performances of Annual Puppet Show Week will be held at the Lay Park Community Center instead of the . The show is titled “The Ant and the Grasshopper”, and based on Luli Gray’s version of the Aesop Fable. You and your little ones can catch a show at today at 9:30am and 10:30am and 10:30am and 4:30pm on Thursday and Friday.

The hit Broadway musical, “My Fair Lady,” shows at this Wednesday at 7:30pm. Tickets are available online or at The Classic Center box office, and are priced from $10-$65.

The ACC departments of Leisure Services and Public Works and Transportation will host a public information open house intended for the community to view a proposed design schematic for a at . The meeting will take place on Wednesday from 5:30pm-7:30pm in the Planning Department Auditorium, 120 West Dougherty St., and will feature a drop-in format with no formal presentation. Citizens can comment on the schematic design and talk with ACC Staff who are assisting with the bridge project.
