And happy Tuesday to everyone in Athens and America!

 

It's Tuesday, which means there's Storytime at the for infants, toddlers and their caregivers. Children are introduced to the joys of reading and books through animated stories that often include puppets and songs and dancing. In place. Come for the fun, leave with books. But remember: the fines have gone up, so watch those due dates.

Women are learning to punch, and are finding that learning to box is a great way to get in shape. There are non-contact, boxing classes for women at the YMCA and wit hthe ACC Recreation Department at Thomas Lay Park. Check these out!

The ACC Commission holds its monthly work session today at 5:30pm in the Doughtery Street Building. These aren't televised. You have to enjoy it in person.

The second reader in the "Seat in the Shade" summer poetry series reads tonight at the Globe at 7pm. Ginger Murchison has come from Georgia Tech to read her work. Be there or be square.
