is back at Clarke Central's Mel Auditorium today at 10:30am for a special storytelling concert by the talented library staff. Be there or be square.

At 1pm, the Atlanta Highway Redevelopment Study Committee is meeting in City Hall to, wel, to study how to redevelop Atlanta Highway. The name says it all. They going to figure out how to improve and maxmimize property and businesses and challenges along the road, even as Oconee County gears up for their economic center on Epps Bridge Parkway.

Athens has done reared itself a real hero., Josh Meltzer, a graduate of Clarke Central and Carleton College, son of Richard and Angela Meltzer, saved two people who were drowning in Lake Superior. He was there visiting his wife's family for the Fourth. Yay, Josh!
