 1. Today and every Wednesday, you and your pooch can enjoy cocktails together at the Madison Bar and Bistro Courtyard at from 5pm-7pm.

2.  The Fall and Early Winter Program Guide from ACC Leisure Services is now available. There are dozens of affordable sports, arts and dance programs open to all ages. The programs for children are made even more affordable through sliding scale, income-based scholarships, for which you can apply at and other leisure service facilities.

3. The Leisure Services department provides so many awesome opportunities for residents of Athens and its surrounding counties. Take advantage of all it has to offer, like Disc Golf and Full Moon Canoe Rides at , Family Fishing at , Water Aerobics at , Tap Dance at , Tennis at or Painting Lessons at the . All of these activities are provided at a very low cost to residents of Athens.

4.The Farmington Depot Gallery is owned and staffed by 16 local artists with works in a variety of mediums, such as oil paint, glass, clay, fabrics and mixed media. The gallery is open to the public Thu-Sun from 10am-6pm and by appointment.

5.   Farmington may seem a bit out of the way for most Athenians (unless you are headed to the beach), but would make a great addendum to a weekend trip out to Thomas Orchards, where you can enjoy fresh peaches and homemade peach ice cream.
