Happy Hump Day!

 

The Leaf and Limb trucks are heading to these areas during the first week of July: Beechwood, Briarcliff, Homewood Hills, Whitehead Road, Country Club Estates, Knottingham and Forest Heights Drive. Get those leaves and weeds bagged and ready!

Today at 11:30am, you should hear loud sirens going off all over Athens Clarke County. Don't worry, they're supposed to. All these groups are testing a new siren on UGA's East Campus Parking Deck: the ACC Police Department, ithe Athens-Clarke County Emergency Management Agency, the Athens-Clarke County Central Services Department, and the University of Georgia.

As part of its Summer Kids Series, Cine is showing "Annie" this weekend. Patrons of all ages are invited to bring their best singing voice to croon along with the movie. The movie shows at 2pm; admission is $5.

As part of its summer reading performance series, the is beinging storyteller and singer Carol Cain to 's Mel Auditorium on Thursday at 10:30am. The other performers have been wonderful, so this one will be, too. Geared toward chidlren, but suitable for everyone.

Tired? Aching? A hydroaerobics class at Pool may be just what you need to get the twinges out of rusty hinges, so to speak. A drop-in class meets today from 6pm to 7pm. Cost is $5.
