Having a good Women’s History Month? Women in medicine is the theme of a talk by Regina Morantz-Sanchez, a University of Michigan professor of history, on March 22 in Room 148 of the Miller Learning Center. The lecture is “What’s History Got to Do with It? Four Decades of Scholarship on Gender and Medicine” is free. Anyone can attend.

Are you caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementias? You’re not alone. Join others at an caregiver luncheon. This support group meets every third Tuesday of the month for lunch and networking. So come tomorrow at noon. Please bring any questions, concerns, or and we can discuss possible solutions and strategies. Pre-registration is required and care for your loved one and lunch will be provided at no cost to you. provides pick-up of leaf and limbs to all residents in Athens-Clarke County. Be sure to use paper lawn refuse bags for all grass clippings, pine straw, small brush, and leaves. No plastic bags will be accepted. This week, crews will be picking up in Glen Oaks, Holly Hills, Kingswood, Wood Lake, Wickersham Plantation, Stonehenge, Deerfield, Holiday Estates, High Ridge, Woodhaven, Westwood Hills and Huntington Park.
