Athens Today - May 10

Has it been a while since you had a big, juicy burger? The following 5 local eateries are willing to solve that problem for you.

1. The Grill is a legendary favorite in Athens. A classic diner atmosphere puts one in the mood for a big messy hamburger, which wouldn’t be complete without a malted milkshake and french fries with a side of feta dressing. Don't even think about counting the calories, okay?

2. , a local restaurant striving to enhance the connection between people, food and place, is offering local, grass-fed beef burgers with house-made bacon and bleu cheese, from their Farm Cart during the month of May. The cart is an outdoor extension of the restaurant, open Mon-Fri, 11:30am-2:30pm. It also makes an appearance at the every Tuesday evening and Saturday morning.

3. , a locally owned restaurant in a 100-year-old building in the middle of Boulevard Historic District, does hamburgers right. They are simple and understated yet delicious. This place also serves BBQ and gourmet chocolate.
