So many options, so little time!

You have a rare chance on Sunday afternoon to hear two orchestras in one large venue! Does Athens rock or what?

1. The ARCO Chamber Orchestra, composed of UGA music school faculty and students, plays at 3 p.m. in the smaller Ramsey Concert Hall in the . The concert today is a fund-raising and send-off event, because ARCO is traveling to Venice next week to play in a benefit concert at a UNESCO conference as part of a tour they are making of Northern Italy. Tickets are $10 and $5 for students.

2. At 4 p.m., in the neighboring Hugh Hodson Concert Hall, you can catch the fall concert by the The Athens Youth Symphony, under the direction of Karl Schab. The program will include works by Handel, Sibelius, Morton Gould and others, performed by more than 75 young musicians from Northeast Georgia. The concert is free and open to the public.

3.The Congregation Children of Israel is hosting the Jewish Food and Crafts festival today from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. There will be locally made arts and crafts, just in time for the upcoming holidays. Your stomach will enjoy the food: delicious New York corned beef sandwiches, hummus platters, knishes, kugel, bagels, homemade baked goods and Jittery Joe’s coffee. Admission is free.

4. This afternoon, from 4 to 6 p.m., you can check out almost 200 art works from the Clarke County School District at the . This year's show, "Community: Artworks by Students of the Clarke County School District," will feature the work of students in pre-K through 12th grade.

5. Tomorrow evening, you can meet Athens' finest all under one roof. The ACC Federation of Neighborhoods will hold its monthly program at 7:30 p.m., at the n office. The meeting will be a discussion on crime in Athens. Panelists include Chief Jack Lumpkin, Major Mark Sizemore and Major Carter Greene of the ACC Police Department, UGA Police Chief Jimmy Williamson and Sheriff Ira Edwards.
