Last home game of the season....Go, Dawgs!

continues their fall show today and tomorrow at on Tracy Street. It runs from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. today and 12 noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

are meeting at 9:30 a.m. today in the upper parking lot of today to combat the invasive and non-native plants that seem to have taken over the South. They are working on retaking the Birchmore trail. Wear long pants and long sleeves and bring water. Get those baddie plants, guys!

Thanksgiving hasn’t arrived, but that won’t keep the businesses in friendly Five Points from welcoming in the holidays this coming Sunday. From 1 to 5 p.m., there will be hay rides, music, singing, face painting, treats and a visit from the Rotund One himself. You’ll hear the jingle bells.

Today is the last home game for the Georgia Bulldogs football team. They play the Kentucky Wildcats at 12:30 p.m. Yes, the crowds and traffic are difficult to deal with, but boy, oh, boy, do those visitors jack up the sales tax dollars for Athens. See you next season, folks, and thank you.
