Get outside in this fall weather!

1. Calling all book lovers! The will continue today and tomorrow at in Five Points. Next door to the Local Jam. Thousands of books will be for sale at rock-bottom prices.

2. The dance concert, presented by and Dancestyle Dancewear, is the culmination of a week of events celebrating dance in Athens. You can enjoy performances by the Red Hotz, Studio Dance Academy, Georgia Dance Team, UGA Ballroom Performance Group and more, on Saturday at the beginning at 4pm.

3. presents their fall show today and tomorrow. It’s called “What Flies Beneath.” Their shows are stunning and memorable, so go if you can. And take the kids! Showtimes are 4 and 8 p.m. on Saturday and 2 and 6 p.m. on Sunday. To purchase tickets on line, click here.

4. needs you…or at least, your online vote. Turns out the parishioners of the church have been mailing in their trash to Terracycle, a recycling company focused on zero waste. Organizer Andrew Lane says they are tithing with trash. They've even designed Yearnie, the yogurt cup monster that's a waste collection can made out of discarded materials. Whoever gets the most votes for their can design wins $1,000, so vote for the home team.

5. Grand opening activities continue this afternoon and evening at on Prince Avenue. From 2 until 5, the will focus on children, so take your youngsters and prepare to read.
