Want Gardening Ideas? Take This Tour on Saturday

The Piedmont Gardeners are staging their 20th garden tour, featuring five gardens.

The Piedmont Gardeners Tour of Gardens is a beloved Spring tradition in Athens.  The 20th annual tour will take place on Saturday, April 20, 2013.  The five gardens on the tour this year are located in the Five Points area of Athens and offer a variety of styles, scales and horticultural ideas.

The Piedmont Gardeners are a group of 30 dedicated and informed gardeners who make this tour possible each year by their hard work, local knowledge and flair.  Funds raised by the tour go to scholarships for students enrolled in UGA Landscape Architecture and Horticulture courses.  The Piedmont Gardeners also plant and maintain the charming herb garden at the Church-Waddell-Brumby House, which houses the Athens Welcome Center at 280 East Dougherty Street.
