Β

There's something for everyone at this weekend's Human Rights Festival, the political activist as well as the political apathetic. Β

There are performances by the Athens Montessori School singers, Girls with Guitars and the kid-oriented Like Totally! You'll hear from leaders of non profit agencies like Project Safe, the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia and the Athens Area Homeless Shelter.

Attorney Millard Farmer of the Southern Law Poverty Center will speak, and so will UGA Law Professor Eugene Wilkes and longtime political columnist and actvist Ed Tant. What would any gathering be without an appearance from The Women in Black and the Athens Farmers Market? Both will be represented. Mr. Tonks and Mr. Jordan are playing and so is Art Rosenbaum.
