Athens Choral Society Concert

This season the Athens Choral Society performs the works of two modern composers.  "Mass of the Children" by John Rutter was completed in 2003 and "Songs of Love and War" by Paul Moravec was written in 1997. 

The "Mass of the Children" will feature renowned international baritone Frederick Burchinal, Megan Brunning, soprano soloist, and the Angels of Light and Gabriel Singers from St. Benedict Catholic Church in Duluth, Ga.

Frederick Burchinal, a twenty-two year presence at the Metropolitan Opera, will also be the soloist in "Songs of Love and War".  This piece was inspired by letters written by and to soldiers during war and features Brandon Craswell, trumpet soloist.

Admission is free.  ACS is proud to recognize veterans during the concert.
