The Fan-trash-tic Transformations Festival

Upcyled junk-to-masterpiece contests, arts & crafts activities for kids & adults and more will inspire and challenge us to see how creative we can get with materials that otherwise will end up in our overflowing landfills.

i. La Great Junk Off:
Artists will compete for prizes using materials provided by Junk South.

ii. Fan-trash-y funshops:
Turn un-recyclable discards into things of function and fantasy using materials such as  old T-shirts, electronics, Ziploc baggies, cheese wax, scrap wood and more.

iii. Swap-O-rama-rama led by Gretchen Elsner
A Creative Commons event, this successul global recurring clothing swap entails community members bringing in a bag of clothes to swap with others.

iv. UGA Entomology Club: Bugs Who Recycle

v. JUNK SOUTH swap & freemarket
Score free art materials, swap out your own extras, and learn all about Junk South's plans to provide artists with a warehouse full of liquidation materials that will be available for free!

vi. Recylomania
Bring those hard to recycle items to ATHICA for a special ACC pick-up event of your used Batteries, appliances, cyber-trash and more.
