See the Zoo, Buy the Art

Students from Chase Street and the University of Georgia have donated original art work that will be auctioned to raise money for the Bear Hollow animals.

With so much going on in Athens on Saturday, you need to slow down and head to Bear Hollow Zoo in Memorial Park for Zoo Day. From 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., you (and those who accompany you) will enjoy local presentations and exhibits. And local art.

Students from Chase Street Elementary have donated original drawings and other art work that will be auctioned off (in a silent auction) during Zoo Day. UGA students who are in Libby Hatmaker's drawing class have also donated their drawings. Money raised will be used to expand the habitat for animals in the zoo.

Also on display will be items for auction donated by local businesses. Just look for the tent near the trail and you will see the art work inside. If it rains, the art will be moved to the main recreation hall.
