Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) are salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital world. Trying to prove they are not obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google, along with a battalion of brilliant college students. But, gaining entrance to this utopia is only half the battle. Now they must compete with a group of the nation’s most elite, tech-savvy geniuses to prove that necessity really is the mother of re-invention.

Not since the odd 1988 boy-meets-alien flop 'Mac and Me' has there been a film as egregiously built around product placement as 'The Internship.' While 'Mac and Me' gratuitously gobbled up McDonalds, it wasn’t actually about the golden arches. But 'The Internship,' on the other hand, is all about Google, possibly de-throning that silly E.T. rip-off as the king of product placement. — Justin Craig, FoxNews.com

'The Internship' is essentially a rehash of 'Old School' only with a tech campus instead of a college one, but, problem: Coding is unlike dumb fraternity stunts — it is neither cinematic nor fakeable. The movie deals with this inherent lack of visual interest by pretending that winning a quidditch match against fellow interns might help you get hired, but put me down as doubting Google got where it is by hiring based on ability to play fictitious sports. — Kyle Smith, New York Post

You might say 'The Internship' is in the bag for Google, the fearsomely powerful search engine and commerce behemoth. But that doesn't quite convey the extent of the coziness. 'The Social Network' it isn’t — nor does it try to be — but this big-hearted underdog comedy from director Shawn Levy is, much like its two leads, exceedingly affable and good-natured despite being undeniably long in the tooth. — Scott Foundas, Variety 

While Vaughn and Wilson were hilarious in 2005's 'Wedding Crashers,' those expecting this to be 'Google Crashers' are in for a rude awakening. 'The Internship' is closer to 'Dude, Where's My Job?' ... Vaughn's charm serves him sporadically (he also co-wrote the script) and Wilson is blandly affable. But sometimes their garrulous riffing is just plain annoying. — Claudia Puig, USA Today

"The Internship" is rated PG-13 for sexuality, some crude humor, partying and language. The movie runs 1 hour and 59 minutes. It's playing at Beechwood Stadium Cinemas 11 and Carmike Cinemas 12.
