Cocoa Kitty is the AAHS Adoptable Cat of the Week!

Cocoa Kitty is an independent lady looking for a quiet home to call her own.

Cocoa Kitty is a relaxed older cat around 9-10 years old who was declawed on all four paws by a previous owner. As a result of this, she began having litter box issues and was surrendered to animal control. She has not had these issue while living at the shelter. She is affectionate--she prefers being near you and being petted as opposed to being in a lap. She has a more independent nature, as so many Siamese do, and would prefer to be the only pet in your home. Cocoa Kitty would do best with older children who are respectful of her desire for personal space. Cocoa is the ideal cat for someone who is looking for companionship but doesn't want a cat who's in your business 24/7.

Cocoa's Feline-ality is The Executive: I have to say, I'm a busy cat. First, I've got to check out what's happening out the window. Next, I'll see if any closets or cupboards need looking into. And then there are my naps — can't be late for those. I can fit a little socializing into my schedule. Shall we plan on breakfast and dinner? I hope you like kibbles.

We are so thankful for the recognition and this kind article. Our friend Mary Charles Howard'sRead More company did the landscaping and we are so pleased with the results. Sincerely, Janet Geddis, owner Avid Bookshop
