Avid Bookshop’s CALL FOR UNPAID INTERNS - winter/spring 2014
The internship runs from February 15 - April 30, 2014, for 10 hours/week.
What: We are currently seeking undergraduate or graduate students who are interested in spending time learning about various aspects of the bookselling business with a concentration on events & public relations. We do not offer college credit or pay for these internships, but we can offer valuable experience and will be happy to write recommendation letters for interns who meet or exceed our expectations.
The duration of the internship is February 15 - April 30, 2014, 10 hours a week maximum, both in the shop and working remotely. This is a definite time commitment. Please do not apply if you cannot fulfill this commitment.
To apply for an internship,
please send a cover letter that summarizes your relevant work or volunteer history and also lists your general availability. In your letter, you must either discuss any previous experience as a customer of an indie bookshop or address specific reasons why you are interested in working at Avid Bookshop.
Attach a current resume that includes at least two references.
