Auntie Anne's Desserts
Sock Hop at Auntie Anne's! There were always cookies in the cookie jar at my house: oatmeal-raisin, ginger cookies, brownies. Even when I came home from college, my Mom would send me back with a tin full of homemade goodies. She was happily baking the day before she died. One of my cousins mentioned "Auntie Anne's" delicious pies in the sympathy card she sent. I want to share some of her favorite desserts, as a tribute, and I added some gluten-free and vegan items for my friends with special dietary needs. It's a fund-raiser for UUFA, too. Auntie Anne’s dessert restaurant will be open February 17 from 6-9, and we'll be playing rock n roll from the 50s and 60s. If you want to reserve a table for your family or group, contact Patty Freeman-Lynde, pattyfl@bellsouth.net or 706-254-2178. You can also just show up. Spread the word and invite your friends, too.
