Grindhouse Killer Burgers Opening on Friday, September 13th

Five Points seems to have had an explosion of new businesses lately, with more to come soon.

According to a Press Release by Mary Wickwire:

This Friday the 13th will be a lucky day for Burger lovers in Athens, as the long-awaited Grindhouse Killer Burgers opens its doors. Located in Five Points on Lumpkin Street, at the corner of Woodrow Ave, Grindhouse will serve up the best burgers in one of the most unique and fun atmospheres around.

With a full bar and killer roof deck, the new Grindhouse Killer Burgers will be the “go-to” spot for anyone craving a burger, or veggie burger, in Athens (and beyond). Doors will open at 11:00 am and in celebration of the 13th, scary movies will be showing all day on multiple large screen TVs.

For the uninitiated, Grindhouse Killer Burgers specializes in custom burgers – start out by choosing a fresh ground, dry-aged beef patty (a custom blend of chuck and brisket), a house-made turkey patty or Creative Loafing’s Best Veggie Burger in Atlanta, made from bean and quinoa.

From there, you can customize your own burger with loads of house made toppings, sauces and cheeses.  For the indecisive and uncreative, Grindhouse also offers eight never-fail “Burger Styles”, including the Apache Style featuring roasted New Mexico green chiles, grilled onions and pepper jack cheese.

The Athens location will also feature more than 15 beers on tap and a variety of ‘boozy‘ milkshakes like the El Duderino (coffee shake, Kahlua, and Pinnacle whipped cream vodka) or the Berry Springer (strawberry shake, raspberry liqueur and Pinnacle berry vodka).
