Marshalls, the off-price retailer, will open its store in the Epps Bridge Centre in Oconee County on August 29, according to a press release sent out by the company. It's headquartered in Framingham, Massachusetts.
“The new Athens store will be stocked with a new, fresh assortment of the designer and brand name merchandise that shoppers love, every single week,” said Richard Sherr, President of Marshalls. “Our buyers are fashion experts with a keen sense of style and are passionate about finding the most coveted merchandise for our shoppers for so much less!”
Shoppers can save on designer apparel for men, women and children, footwear, accessories and home merchandise, every day. Marshalls is one of the nation’s leading off-price family retailers with more than 900 stores spanning 43 states and Puerto Rico.
The new store will bring 60 full- and part-time jobs to the Athens area, the press release says.
To celebrate its arrival in the Athens area, Marshalls will contribute to the local community by presenting a $5,000 donation to the St. Mary’s Foundation at the ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 29th at 7:30 a.m.
